South Park right again?
If true, this story about Mel Gibson's horrible reaction to getting pulled over for DUI would be the last in a long line of South Park getting the big picture right while getting the details wrong. Remember their take on Mel Gibson? Running around asking to fight people while badmouthing Jews and rubbing excrement on himself. He hit, according to the original arrest report quoted by TMZ, two out of the three.
Mel. You were so good in Lethal Weapon playing a crazy man. Little did we know you weren't acting.
Update
Sadly, this story is true, and has been confirmed by the LA Times.
This is sad for two reasons. First, Mel Gibson's tirade and anti-semitic remarks are offensive and betray Gibson's claims which he was forced to make when the Passion of the Christ was released. Second, it's sad that the police department which was involved in the arrest felt it necessary to cover up the bad acts. Favoritism only goes one way. If Mel had been poor and unknown they would have happily written up as many details as they liked, but the higher-ups decided that Gibson was worth protecting, and that's sad.
