"At least he learned a lesson."

Apparently Michael Stott from "The Office" has a real world relative. John Kelly, a teacher of an ethnicity class in Pennsylvania, forced a student to sit on the floor to take a midterm exam and openly mocked him for wearing a Denver Broncos jersey. He taunted him and encouraged other students to throw paper at him. Now the kid is upset. Says the teacher: "If he felt uncomfortable, then that's a lesson; that's what [the class] is designed to do," Kelly told The Denver Post. The lesson? It could only be "don't be different" or "don't share your beliefs" or maybe even "authority is cruel and hypocritical."

Says school superintendent: "We'll take whatever action we need to in order for the student to feel comfortable." I think that would pretty much start with firing the teacher.
